Is there a minimum or maximum donation?
The minimum donation is $10. There is no maximum donation limit.
How much of my donation will go to the nonprofit?

The organization(s) you choose to support will receive your name and contact information, unless you choose to make an anonymous contribution. As host of Washington County Gives, CFWC will receive contact information for donors who participate in Washington County Gives and do not give anonymously. How am I recognized as a donor? You will receive an immediate thank you as well as your tax receipt from the Community Foundation of Washington County. You can choose to make an anonymous donation if you prefer. Anonymous donors will still receive a tax receipt, but will not receive a thank you from the nonprofit organization.
Can I give multiple times to help my favorite nonprofit win? Yes and no:Yes, each time you give, your nonprofit has a chance to win the Grand Award for Most Dollars Raised. If an hourly Golden Ticket drawing occurs, you may be able to help that nonprofit earn an extra prize. No, giving multiple times to your favorite nonprofit will not help them climb the Leaderboard to win the grand prize for most donations. The Leaderboard tracks each individual or unique donor who gives to that organization.
TO DONATE TO THE WCHT
ON MAY 5TH
Washington County Historical Trust began supporting historic preservation in 1983 with its effort to save Wilson’s Bridge which was rebuilt the next year. Still advocating for our 4,000+ listed historic sites, WCHT is now gathering funds to finance a Western Maryland Field Office to provide Historic Preservation guidance for Western MD owners of historic structures. We’re about to publish our second book to support this effort.
